Children & Families
There's room for everyone
We love having children and families as part of our church community.
We believe church is for the whole family, including our youngest members. Children are welcome to be themselves, ask questions, join in, make a bit of noise and discover who Jesus is in a way that's right for them.
On Sunday mornings, we start the service together as one church family. After the opening part of the service, younger children can head out to Kids Group, where they'll explore the Bible, learn about Jesus, play and have fun together.
And if your child would rather stay with you, that's absolutely fine too. We have toys, puzzles, books and colouring available throughout the service.
Kids being kids is welcome here.
Sunday School
A place to learn, play and grow
Our Sunday School is currently geared towards our younger children, particularly those around primary-school age.
We explore Bible stories, learn about Jesus, play games and get creative together. We want it to be a place where children can have fun, ask questions and begin to discover what following Jesus means for them.
As our church family grows, we'll keep thinking about how we can support children of different ages and stages.
A safe place to grow
We want children and families to feel safe, welcomed and cared for at SBC.
Our leaders follow our safeguarding procedures, and we take the wellbeing and safety of everyone in our church community seriously.
For parents and carers
If you're visiting for the first time, you don't need to know what to do.
Our welcome team can help you find your way around and answer any questions you have. You're welcome to stay with your child, join them in Sunday School or simply see how things work before deciding what feels right for you.
There's no pressure. Come as you are.
